Country Legend Lynn Anderson Releases New Gospel Album ‘Bridges’
Country artists today don't seem to release gospel songs, much less entire gospel albums. I guess it's become something of a lost 'art' in country music. Maybe not enough money in it to bother?
So it's always a great treat when one of our great classic country legend's releases, not only an album of new music, but a gospel album! And so it is with Lynn Anderson.
The 'I Never Promised You A Rose Garden' artist has just released her new album of gospel entitled 'Bridges'. And if her single 'Drift Away (Gospel)' is any indication, that lovely voice that sang so many country hits is still there!
For more information on the album, I went to Center Sound Records and found the following:
Center Sound Records is proud to announce the release of Grammy, Billboard, CMA and ACM Award Winner Lynn Anderson’s first internationally distributed album in a decade with Bridges on June 9, 2015. Bridges, featuring collaborations with The Oak Ridge Boys and The Martins, marks the return of Bil VornDick to the producer’s chair on Lynn’s project. The partnership previously received a Grammy nomination for her 2005 release Bluegrass Sessions.
Bridges tackles topics of salvation, redemption, forgiveness, faith, love and acceptance in this twelve song selection.
